valGUM = knees sticking together similar "Gum"

Hope that helps

The German squealer farmer had a hog run through his legs and out the gate, leaving him standing with his feet together, knees bent and autonomously, looking through his knees saying "VARUS my hog?"

Oh, the joys of my intro to patient intendance class.

I usually think of the bow legged children with Rickets. Rickets and vaRus both share the letter R.

This may seem like pure insanity, but if you're a history buff you'll call up that at the boxing of the Teutoburg Wood (Twelvemonth 9 Advertizement), the Roman legions under the leadership of Quintilius Varus, who rode a equus caballus (bowlegged) into battle, were anihilated by the German language hordes.

Varus->bowlegged; that's honestly how I remembered it, and it actually came in handy on Step I.

Don't live like me,

Rickets forms ii D's (one turned and upside downwards and one a D) like someone with bowed legs and then does vaRus. (Rickets is caused past vit D Deficiency, is formed via the secondary ossification center (epiphyses) - 2 ends of the bone.

Valgthe states--> your knees motility inwards toward your "vulgar parts"

Keep it kinky.

Hither's my two cents ... I'm a former physical therapist that has seen plenty of varus and valgus hips and knees. I remember it this fashion:

VaFiftygus has the letter of the alphabet "Fifty" in it, and the distal stop of the valgus segement moves laterally away from midline (ie: human knee valgus presents with touching knees and ankles the deviate laterally).

Varus doesn't have an "L" so it the distal finish must motility medially

I don't know why this was bumped but goddamn was this stupid. People are using some of the well-nigh stupidest (come across what I did there) mnemonics always.

Valgus has L; distal part moves Lateral

Nail.

Here's my two cents ... I'thousand a former physical therapist that has seen plenty of varus and valgus hips and knees. I retrieve it this manner:

VaLgus has the letter "L" in information technology, and the distal terminate of the valgus segement moves laterally away from midline (ie: articulatio genus valgus presents with touching knees and ankles the deviate laterally).

Varus doesn't have an "L" so it the distal end must move medially

That's the first matter I idea of.

Taught to me past a peds attention: "Girls in Paris sit in varus", has stuck with me ever since

Think K, Fifty in the alphabets.
One thousand for k noc k and L for va l gus

Promise this helps.

Another starting time-mail random necrobump! Well, mayhap not a necrobump because information technology's only 11 months old. Life-support bump, then. So, did y'all just learn this play a trick on and had to share? SDN search function, FTW.

ok, I can't remember which is which. Anyone out there have an easy way to remember which is valgus, and which is varus?

va"r"u.s. "r"ight knee joint moves to the "r"ight...... so information technology's bowing out

call back well-nigh it similar this Varus is five letters long, if yous subtract valgus which is 6 messages. you go -1 at present add One thousand which is one letter and you get 0. 0 is exactly the amount of ****south i give about this thread
